Program Schedule
- August 19, 2006 - Don't Fear the Peeps Shorebird ID presented by Kenn Kaufman. If you've ever spent time in the field looking at shorebirds, then you know they can be a difficult and confusing group to identify. Join legendary bird expert, author, and speaker, Kenn Kaufman as he shares his vast experience with these beautiful to look at, but frustrating to identify birds. A follow-up field trip to Ottawa NWR will test our new skills.
- September 16, 2006 - Confusing Fall Warbler ID presented by Tom Bartlett. Okay, so we've tackled shorebird ID. Fall warblers should be simple, right? If you answered yes to this question, you won't want to miss this helpful program presented by one of Ohio's leading bird experts. Tom will help us separate Blackpolls and Bay-breasted and Pine Warblers. Not to mention telling Tennessees from Orange-crowneds. We'll follow the program with a field trip to the world famous Magee Marsh boardwalk.
- October 21, 2006 - Ohio's Herps presented by Kent Bekker. What in the world is a "Herp?" A "Herp" is the term used to describe Reptiles and Amphibians. Kent Bekker is a Herptetologist with the Toledo Zoo. Kent will bring along some super cool critters for us to take a look at.
