Pickerel Creek sighting on 20-May-2006

Jim and Pat Witter and I had a Plegadis Ibis Sp. at Pickerel around 4:45 this afternoon. The bird was first seen gliding over the marsh north of the parking lot opposite Route 268 on Route 6. The bird was last seen landing in the impoundment on the eastern side of the dike running, 2nd north from the parking lot. We searched for a little over an hour but could not relocate the bird.
