Maumee Bay State Park sightings 26-Sep-2006

I had two juvenile type Black-bellied Plovers at MBSP [this] morning. They were observed on both the inland beach and also over on the lake erie beach. They were calling fairly frequently and at one point I believe I heard a third bird in the air.

A (the?) Dunlin continues, mostly found on the inland beach. I have had one Dunlin on almost every visit since first reporting it here a couple or maybe three weeks ago. The bird appears to be finishing its molt to basic plumage.
