10-Nov-2006 jaeger and scoter sightings

[A] jaeger was seen at the Marblehead Lighthouse last Fri [Nov 10] AM- was seen briefly harassing a R-B Gull, then flew out to the NW and was not seen again. My best guess to species? - a light-morph juvenile Pomarine - because of overall heavy build and flight (seemed to match the Pomarines I saw off Monterey in Sept), and - pale upper-tail coverts (according to Sibley)... but - who knows? Also had a Surf Scoter there (immature male type), and 3 more fly-by scoters, (probably Surfs also)
