May 2 was rainy during the middle part of the day. The day started cloudy. Temps throughout the day remained steady between 55 and 60. Rain started in Toledo around 9:30 a.m., and it ended a little after 3:00 p.m. The rain during the day was light to moderate at times, but it was pretty much constant for about six hours. It rained some more after dark, before Midnight and then a little more before sunrise.

A birder in Oregon recorded .70 inches of rain. We needed the rain. It's been dry in recent weeks. Little to no water exists in the usual places around the boardwalk.

Anyway, I heard birding was good at Magee before and after the rain. The [[BSBO]] banding station at Navarre banded 200 birds before the rain started. The nets are closed once rain begins.
