I spent a little bit of time on the beach at MBSP this morning. Highlight was definitely a single Baird's on the Lake Erie beach, also on the beach were a few Semipalmated Sandpipers (the red legged version was not seen today), a Least Sandpiper, a Semipalmated Plover, a few Spotted Sandpipers and some Killdeer.

Nothing of note on the inland beach.

The Baird's was very territorial, protecting his feeding territory from the other shorebirds and held its ground when I approached.

I just heard from someone in our office that there were a number of Baird's on the beach at Crane Creek State Park today.
