Spent some time today exploring the western basin of the lake. Some notables include:

~25 Tundra Swans at Toussaint area on Rt. 19

Magee Marsh closed to vehicles

MBSP 2 G.W.F. Geese, 15 Hooded Mergs 1 RB Merg off of lodge

Bayshore Power Plant 5 Great Egrets 1 juv. BC Night heron ~10 Cormorants

Cullen Park many gulls and finally discovered ducks... off north side of peninsula ~100 Ruddy Ducks within 100 yds. and 2-4,00 Scaup easy scattered in the bay. Scans with better optics are sure to turn up a few goodies

Marinas along 131st on the Ottawa River had lots of gulls including a few GBBG... someone with patience and a better scope is likely to find a few goodies there as well.

Erie Power Plant a few more scaup and RB Mergs and a PBGB
