The "Black Swamp Conservancy":http://www.blackswamp.org/ of Perrysburg has received $316,337 in Clean Ohio Fund grants for land purchases in Ottawa and Paulding counties.
Black Swamp’s Lake Erie Islands chapter was given $168,337 to buy three acres on South Bass Island. The site is near Ladd Carr Wildlife Woods, which the chapter owns.
The conservancy received $148,000 to buy 72 additional acres next to its 192-acre Forest Woods Nature Preserve in Paulding County.
